Wholesales and Institutional Clients team
Sales departments are usually the business card of a company, or rather the “face” that is presented externally. This month we are focusing our usual interview on Diego Saltarella, a well-known colleague, who has been appointed Head of Wholesales and Institutional Clients, one of our sales areas.
What is the news about Diego’s team? And what the goals for 2022?
BRAVE NEWS: the new podcast
“Brave News” is the brand-new Kairos podcast – available both in Italian and English – ideated by and starring Mario Unali.
In this series’ episodes, Mario will talk about how big global investments are driving the evolution of our society towards the world of tomorrow.
“The idea was to interview some international protagonists of the key sectors involved in this rapid process of change. Every day I am interacting with many professionals, but I wanted to give an exclusively female voice to these important issues leveraging on a different sensitivity”, explains Mario.
A female column matches with our EnSiGn project, strengthening our responsible commitment in terms of diversity.
The first episode of Brave News was launched on 8 March – with the occasion of the International Women’s Day – on the ENERGY topic, followed two weeks later by MEDIA AND MARKETS.
If you missed the trailer and the first two appointments, you can listen to the full story on our website https://www.kairospartners.com/media/podcast/brave-news/?lang=en or you can subscribe to the Kairos Partners SGR channel on Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, Amazon Music and Spreaker.

We support the Francesca Rava Foundation to respond to the Ukraine emergency
We are experiencing a particular historical moment: along the complexities that the context is requiring us to face in our daily working time, we must necessarily deal with the humanitarian aspect of the ongoing conflict.
Kairos has always firmly believed in the responsible commitment for a better world. For this reason, it decided to respond to the call of the Francesca Rava Foundation, for donating to purchase machinery and medical equipment, in support of paediatric hospitals, of soldiers wounded on the front line and local institutions ready to welcome refugees from Ukraine.
Our usual contacts, the ones we have been collaborating for a long time, told us that the Foundation activated its support locally from the very beginning, and wanted to be a spokes entity for the urgent need intervention in the context of the health emergency: in the past few days it has already been sending basic supplies to Ukraine and border countries directly involved in the aid activities.
As for the previous initiative of March 2020 for the Covid-19 emergency, we would like to underline the possibility of supporting the Foundation also individually. All donation methods are available at the following link:
Thanks for your support!
In March, Kairos was awarded several prizes, with great enthusiasm and satisfaction.
We therefore decided to tell this story in an advertising campaign that we have been conveying both on social media and in the press: storytelling is built on the messages of last year’s campaigns (such as “We have a say” on the Italy matter and “Flexibility becomes resilience” for KIS Bond Plus) and confirming our DNA as pioneers in the world of alternative products.
Kairos tells the story in the first person, with 4 statements that have found confirmation in the 4 awards received, while the signatures of Alberto and Guido close the campaign: this personal trait gives a human touch to the story, with performance as the protagonist.
Released in these days on the main national and sector newspapers, the campaign is the sum of the 4 awards, awarded the company and the following teams: please read their comments in the gallery below. Here’s a summary of these awards:
• The prestigious “Premio Alto Rendimento” (literally “High Performance Award”), promoted by the 24 ORE Group, awarded Kairos Partners SGR as Best
Italian Funds Manager in the “Small” category, an acknowledgment to the whole trading floor, and with it to all of us;
• KIS Italia won in the Best Performance at 4, 5 and 7 years in the Long / Short Equity category – Italy at the UCITS Hedge Fund Awards;
• KIS Italia PIR was awarded as Best Performance 2021 in the Long / Short Equity category – Italy at the UCITS Hedge Fund Awards, while at the MondoAlternative
Awards 2022 won as Best Liquid Alternative Fund Long / Short Equity Europe 2021 and 3 years (2019-2021);
• KIS Bond Plus, recently appointed the Morningstar 5 Stars, was awarded at the prestigious Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards Switzerland 2022 and recognised at the
UCITS Hedge Fund Awards as Best 10-Year Performance in the Absolute Return Bonds category;
• KIS KEY is the winner as Best 2021 Performance in the Equity Long / Short Regulated Utilities category at the UCITS Hedge Fund Awards;
• finally, Kairos Multi-Strategy Class A was awarded as Best Fund of Hedge Funds 2021 at the MondoAlternative Awards 2022.
Congratulations to all for the results achieved with passion and… Ad maiora!

You will get the invitation in your agenda. Don’t miss it!
A week of art in Milan
From 1 to 3 April, Miart is back: it is the international fair of modern and contemporary art in Milan, which has reached its 26th edition.
The fair, which this year involves 151 among the most prestigious international galleries, will be divided into three exhibition macro-sections:
• Established – the masters of modern art and new contemporary productions;
• Decades – the history of the twentieth century in a scan for decades, from the 10s of the last century to the 10s of the 2000s;
• Emergent – a promotion of the freshest trends and the newest generations of artists.
It will be a party not only limited to the pavilions of Fieramilanocity but spread throughout the Lombard capital, which is part of the Milan Art week, starting on 28 March.
An entire weeklong marathon marked by a rich cultural program that involves all the most important museums, all foundations and Milanese art galleries.
Exhibitions, initiatives, installations, performances, inaugurations and special openings.
Here are just some of the initiatives that are worth noting if you stay in the city over the weekend:
Don’t miss the OutPut project on Friday 1st April from 6pm, a project in collaboration with the Marcelo Burlon Foundation. Starring the visual artist Riccardo Benassi and the choreographer Michele Rizzo who will move between dance and sound in three hours of intense performance.
Finally, after the recent restyling, the Triennale café and its garden reopens. Saturday and Sunday afternoon there will be fun experiential workshops for children aged 5 to 10. For the older ones, some exhibitions halfway between installations and performances by the artists Clédat & Petitpierre and Christodoulos Panayiotou, as well as the wait before the film Milano by Romeo Castellucci and Yuri Ancarani.
Sunshine State was inaugurated on March 30th, an immersion in the visual language of artist and director Steve McQueen (Oscar for best film with “12 years a slave”) who arrives in Milan and remains on display until the end of July.
The Scandinavian duo Elmgreen & Dragset, already known to most for a caravan in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, presents a reflection on the role of the body in the digital age entitled Useless Bodies?. The exhibition will occupy over 3,000 square meters of the Foundation space.
CIMITERO MONUMENTALE (MONUMENTAL CEMETERY)
Maurizio Cattelan is a true master in making people talk about himself. After YOU, a wax puppet hanged in the bathrooms of Galleria De Carlo, the artist is once again the protagonist and will remain so until 6 November in the unusual setting of the Crematorium Temple of the Monumental. On display Lullaby, his historic installation made with the rubble of the Pac in via Palestro. The finished work of the exhibition will be donated to the city as its very famous L.O.V.E.
On April 1st, an open-air appointment at the Citylife park with 3 new installations from the Artline Milano project. The new works by Mario Airò, Alfredo Jaar and Kiki Smith will be revealed to the public.
The initiatives continue … to find out the whole program, please visit the website https://milanoartweek.it/
Enjoy everybody!
